Pie Corbett and David Mitchell (who has won a wide range of ICT awards for his school) will explore strategies that use ICT to engage children as readers and writers. The day will focus on the use of blogs to forge links between schools and writers as well as simple strategies for using images, film files and audio to develop critical thinking, reading and writing.What will you learn?
Pie and David will inspire you to broaden the use of different media in your school to engage pupils and staff alike. You will learn how to use ICT to motivate your pupils and to improve both their attainment and their attitudes towards reading and writing.From 09.45 - 15.30 (registration and refreshments from 09.15)
