The National Literacy Trust trains your team to:

  • Deliver the programme
  • Identify, train and support volunteers
  • Identify, support and engage families

We provide resources, including a delivery manual for staff, toolkits for volunteers and resources and certificates for families.  Participating settings receive a year’s membership of the National Literacy Trust’s Professional Network – an online resource of best practice, guidance and resources.

Your role will be to:

  • Identify and invite families that you would like to engage in the programme.
  • Recruit and train volunteers to take part in the programme and carry out the sessions (which setting staff will supervise). Sessions are one to one and a half hours a week, for six weeks.
