Encourage families to use the local library services. Use a slogan like 'Buy none get eight free!'
As well as weekly storytimes, events are often held in the library year round. Some great half term and holiday events might be perfect to recommend to parents and carers - pick up information so that you know what's going on, and offer to advertise it at your setting.
Invite the local librarian along to any events your setting organises such as a summer fair or parents evening. It may be possible for families to sign up and join the library at such an event.
