Practical idea - Competitions

22 Feb 2010

Hold a language and literacy competition, which can involve your children and their families too.

A 'readers in disguise' quiz could involve guessing which practitioners, children or celebrities are hiding behind books. In an 'extreme reading' contest children are asked to take photographs of themselves or their family members, reading in wierd and wonderful places. The most extreme time or place wins a prize!

Read this case study about a nursery school who organised a bedtime story challenge especially for dads and their children.
