The Government's aim is to meet its national learning targets. Below is a list of the main organisations and bodies involved in delivering adult learning and skills initiatives/funding. Where possible, there are links to more information.

  • 47 local Learning and Skills Councils www.lsc.gov.uk
  • Regional Development Agencies  - there are nine RDAs. RDAs promote employment and enhance the development and application of skills relevant to employment. 
  • Government Offices - There are nine government offices in England. Each has a director of skills and enterprise.
