Inspired by Babies - Talk To Your Baby

This two-day course is designed to enhance knowledge, skills and understanding of the importance of working with babies and children under two years old,  and how this critical phase of development shapes many aspects of a child’s future. The course also supports practitioners in working with vulnerable two-year-olds and understanding the importance of the three prime areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The themes covered are:

  • The baby so far: Discovering more together
  • Brain development: How experiences and relationships shape the brain
  • Attachment and early relationships
  • Attunement in everyday practice – Holding the baby in mind
  • Early interaction and communication
  • The importance of touch and physical development

The Baby Room Project (Gooch and Powell, Canterbury Christ Church University) recommends  “offering training, support or guidance to those working with babies which is specific to their work and carefully designed to include opportunities for professional dialogue and accurate policy and research".

The Inspired by Babies – Talk To Your Baby approach incorporates all of these elements to enhance practice and understanding of working with babies.

Prices start from:

£850 per day for a maximum of 10 participants. Then £160 per day for each additional delegate.
