Kevin Jeffrey

Kevin Jeffery worked as teacher, adviser and inspector for English in a number of local authorities before joining John Stannard to set up the original National Literacy Project and then the National Literacy Strategy.

He has since worked as director of two large school partnerships, in Gloucester and the West Midlands. He has a particular interest in reading and in English 9-13, and recently worked as lead adviser on "Literacy in the Middle Years" for the Government’s Black Country Challenge.

Professional Literacy CompanyHe is a joint founder of the Professional Literacy Company, alongside Stephanie Austwick, Pie Corbett and Gill Matthews.
