Gill Matthews

Gill Matthews is a prolific writer and trainer in primary literacy with a particular interest in writing and the teaching of non-fiction. Among many writing projects, she was responsible with her writing partner Sylvia Karavis for ground-breaking work on Literacy World and Writers’ World. 

She is currently building a strong following for her experiential literacy work, "Writing for Real", including the KS2 teaching units "SPOOCS" and "Back from the Future".

Professional Literacy CompanyShe is a joint founder of the Professional Literacy Company, alongside Stephanie Austwick, Pie Corbett and Kevin Jeffrey.
