Community Reading Champions

If you are looking for a way to develop the Reading Champions project further, there are many other opportunities to extend work beyond the school gates. The Champions project is a national scheme and exists in a variety of settings including sports clubs, local libraries, health and community centres and prisons. Your local library is a good place to start, particularly with the Summer Reading Challenge being so popular with boys. Find out what is going on in your area by exploring the volunteers page.

If there are other Champions members in your area, you might want to join forces on a combined project or event. If your local network is still to be developed, you can use your Champions as ambassadors to establish a development committee in order to recruit individuals and organisations.
