What you receive depends on what type of organisation you are signing up.

Prisons should recieve 20 copies of the Reading Champions journal in the post.
All organisations should receive an automatic email confirming their details and their place as an official Reading Champions organisation. If you do not receive a welcome email, please contact us as this may mean that your email address has not worked.

4) Where do I send my practical ideas so that they can be added to the site?
If you have a great idea for engaging men and boys in reading, we would like to hear about it. Please email your idea to sarah.osborne@literacytrust.org.uk and it will be uploaded to this site soon after.
5) How do I correct a typo in my organisation's/Champion’s details?
If you have submitted your join form or your champion nomination and made an error when entering your details, please email nick.batty@literacytrust.org.uk. It is not possible for schools to change their own details manually.
6) I have joined Reading Champions, received the welcome email and welcome pack, but have heard nothing since, is this normal?
Reading Champions sends out email newsletters to schools and partners once every half term. If you have never received one of these newsletters, contact nick.batty@literacytrust.org.uk to check that you are on the correct mailing list.
7) What can Reading Champions do for me?
Reading Champions offers a flexible framework which can and has been used to great effect in motivating boys and men to read. Champions works best when the facilitator of the project is an enthusiast when it comes to motivating others. For more information contact sarah.osborne@literacytrust.org.uk.
8) Why is Reading Champions designed for men and boys only?
Reading Champions is targeted at men and boys because of the disparity between the literacy standards of the genders. Research has shown that literacy levels for boys and men lag behind those of women and Reading Champions aims to show, by using the motivational power of male role models, that reading is for men too.
However, after requests from schools we have created a sister scheme, Reading Angels, which follows a similar framework to Reading Champions. Unfortunately the national recognition is reserved for Reading Champions. To find out more visit our Reading Angels page.
9) As a Reading Champion what can I do to promote reading?
Make sure you take every opportunity to be seen reading in public; suggest book titles to other men and boys; publicly declare your love of reading; do anything and everything you can to foster a love of reading in those around you. For more ideas go to the Reading Champions practical ideas pages and good luck.
