Successful pilot of family literacy workshops

14 Feb 2011

In four locations across the UK groups of 10 parent-child pairs attended workshops on family literacy where they learnt how to encourage reading for pleasure and find appropriate books for their children. In one group only one parent-child pair were already members of the library, yet by the end of the project the other nine had all joined the library as active members and all 10 had signed up for additional library courses.
