The National Literacy Trust has launched a daily news service
to keep people up-to-date with the latest literacy stories.
The news service, which can be accessed at www.literacytrust.org.uk/literacynews/index.html,
has been made possible by support from Canadian publishers,
Thomson.
The website offers a targeted breakdown of the latest literacy
news stories by areas of interest. These include early years,
primary, secondary, government, parents, and libraries, plus
the National Literacy Trust perspective on current issues.
Deputy Director of the National Literacy Trust Julia Strong
comments,
"The National Literacy Trust website is the first port
of call for people interested in literacy, so developing a
daily news round-up seemed like a natural next step. We're
delighted that, thanks to Thomson, we've been able to expand
the service we provide to our users."
