One of Reading The Game's roles is to create and find resources and good practice which use football to promote literacy. We then share them online so that everyone can use the motivational power of football to foster a love of reading. If you have any good ideas that you would like to share, please email jim.sells@literacytrust.org.uk.
There are loads of books, magazines and comics about football and other sports. Here are just some examples that you might want to test out for your bookshelf squad. If you want to recommend more or send in reviews please email jim.sells@literacytrust.org.uk.
Visit the National Literacy Trust bookshop to find publications on a wide-range of literacy-related subjects and fictional reads. By buying online from this links you will be supporting the work of the NLT. NLT Online bookshop
