Football-based Literacy Activities

A resource has been developed by RTG for use by Football In The Community, FITC, officers. Written by the NLT in consultation with FITC Officers, this resource is is currently being used by Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Chesterfield, Reading and QPR. The idea is to provide an hour of football-related literacy-based games for use by community officers. The games are designed to raise reader motivation and are particularly aimed at Year 5/6s (9 to 11 year-olds), but they have also been adapted to work with other age-ranges, including adults.
