The Blue-noses started their RIF project in 2003.

A report from a RIF event at BCFC:
"The Birmingham City programme was visited by members of the Ladies Football team who shared their reading experiences with the pupils. The ladies then helped with some one-to-one reading time with the children, and then distributed the books to the students. There was also a football poet in attendance who performed some poems for the children, and afterwards the children were encouraged to produce a soccer-oriented dramatization. There were also members of the first team in attendance as the children presented reviews of the books that they had selected."

Unfortunately the RIF project at Brimingham City is currently on hold.

Birmingham City have been active in Premier League Reading Stars.
