In general information technology is referred to as IT but
in the education world it is referred to as ICT - information
and communications technology. Useful terms to understand
are D-learning (distance learning), E-learning (electronic
learning) and M-learning (mobile learning). M-learning is
the delivery of learning to students who are not keeping a
fixed location or through the use of mobile or portable technology,
whereas e-learning is an alternative to classroom learning.
