Pitney Bowes charity auction raises over £5,000 for the NLT

Image of celebrity decorated envelopeThe National Literacy Trust and Pitney Bowes have raised over £5,000 by asking a number of famous faces to contribute individual designs to envelopes. These original works of art were framed and auctioned on ebay from 30 September 2004.

Artists: Nick Park, Quentin Blake, Raymond Briggs, Tony Hart, Richard Long, Grayson Perry
Sporting heros: Sir Bobby Charlton, Sir Henry Cooper, Sally Gunnell Colin Jackson, Sir Steve Redgrave
Film and TV stars: Kate Winslet, Robbie Coltrane, Robert Lindsay, Bill Nighy, Jonathan Pryce
Other famous faces: Richard Curtis, Michael Flatley, Uri Geller, Huw Edwards, Mark Radcliffe, Terry Wogan
